ZOUGAA is a talented singer and songwriter from Cameroon and a humanitarian who makes music come alive with her heart but also with her body as she is also an excellent dancer. Zougaa began his career in 2005 and obtained a master’s degree in NGO management at the Sorbonne, from a young age, Zougaa showed a deep passion for music and singing, influenced by the rich and diverse musical traditions of her country. His musical journey began during his childhood, where he immersed himself in the study of various musical styles, including traditional Cameroonian music and contemporary genres (jazz afrofusion).
Her songs often touch on universal themes such as love, resilience and the quest for identity, resonating deeply with diverse audiences. She is known for her captivating live performances, where her stage presence and audience interaction create a memorable experience. Her ability to fuse traditional and modern influences, her talent for songwriting and her captivating performances make her a unique . For Zougaa, borders are just lines drawn on paper. From the Sahel to the primary forest, in English, French, Ewondo or Haoussa, it’s by visiting villages, living there, drawing water from the river with the women, dancing and singing at births and funerals that she has gradually enriched her universe. She sings in English, French and Ewondo.
